Coming Soon Monroe Restaurant
The big news is we have sign a lease and submitted the permits for a new restaurant in Monroe, WA.  This will not replace our Duvall location.  Everything that is in Duvall now stays except we're moving the office to Monroe.  We are very excited about our new location and we will open without fanfare the day after we get all our permits approved.

Eggfest in Issaquah http://www.pnweggfest.com/
This was our first Eggfest and our first People's choice contest.  We cooked up a storm including crab stuffed sweet peppers and mushrooms wrapped in bacon, Margarita marinated colossal Shrimp and chicken breasts and caramelized onion and roast garlic stuffed pork loin. My able team mates Jim and John also had a lot of fun cranking out an amazing assortment of pizzas.  We were reward with first place in the people's choice contest. The prize was a small Big Green Egg.  That means we know have all four sizes of BGE from Small thru XL at the BBQ Institute.  We are having all egg classes on the weekend of September 27th more details here

September 13 Competition BBQ Class
As a favor to one of our students we are putting this class on with two Grand Champion Pitmasters.  This is open to Alumni only.  More details

Class Schedule through Fathers Day 2009
Our schedule for Duvall, WA classes through fathers day next year are online at http://www.bbqinstitute.com/calendar.htm .  We are planning a November class and three 2009 classes in Eastern Washington at Ranch and Home in Kennewick, WA dates to be announce.  We are also planning one class in California around May 2009.

Exciting News from Weber
The wonderful Weber Smokey Mountain is getting a refresh for 2009.  Weber listened to customers and are introducing a bigger 22" version, that is the best news from Weber since they introduced the original.  Weber is also bringing back the 26" kettle.  All you ever wanted to know about this and everything Weber can be found on www.VirtualWeberBullet.com  .

Web Videos
We are working on a series of short videos for the BBQ institute website.  While we don't plan on giving away the crown jewels we will be covering subjects like sharpening knives and how to cut up a chicken.  What would you like to see a video on?

Keep the success stories coming,
